1. When do you need to disconnect the tail shaft on a truck before towing?
If the truck is empty and accessible from the rear, Red Tow prefers a rear tow as it is faster and more cost-effective. In this case, the tail shaft does not need to be disconnected, saving time and workshop labour. For forward tows, the tail shaft must always be disconnected to prevent gearbox damage.
